Science Teacher, Eleanor Roosevelt IS 143. 2003-2004. Taught 5 classes of grade 7 science, including topics in physics, biology, and earth science.
Staff Developer, Community School District Six. 2000-2003. With CSD 6 Science Team, scheduled, planned, implemented science staff development activities for 9 middle schools, covering over 100 middle school science teachers. Planned and facilitated annual District Six Science Expo, developed District Six Science Curriculum Frameworks, developed & maintained MiddleSchoolScience.org, a website devoted to middle school science teachers in District Six.
Eleanor Roosevelt IS 143. 1991-2000. ·
Teacher. Taught up to 6 classes per year, grades 6, 7, or 8. Covered all areas of science contained in NY State Intermediate Level Science Core Curriculum.
Lead Teacher. Conducted staff development workshops, chaired committee on science restructuring at IS 143, served as liaison between District Six Science Department and school, co-authored successful Toshiba America grant for model classroom, coordinated annual Science Fair.
Summer Institute Participant, CSD 6. 1995-2002. With team, developed CSD 6 Middle School Science Curriculum Frameworks for grades 5-8.
Staff Development Committee, CSD Six. 1995-1997. Along with team, planned and implemented District Six Super Science Saturday professional development workshops.

- Workshop Center, City College of New York. Extensive training in inquiry-based science with Hubert & Becky Dyasi and team at the Workshop Center.
CURRENT INTERESTS
Curriculum Committee. Working with NYC Department of Education on issues related to science curriculum.
Website - MiddleSchoolScience.org. Maintaining a website with student and teacher resources related to science teaching and learning. Includes bulletin board for disseminating information to over 100 teachers on mailing list.
- Web Logs. Encouraging collaboration between students using web logs. Using personal web log as means of reflecting on my own professional practices.
